The Batpod used in The Dark Knight movie series is crossing the auction block.

Estimated to sell for £60000 ($79,695) to £80000 ($106,260), the Batpod is being offered through Prop Store and comes with a Warner Bros. certificate of authenticity in place of a Prop Store certificate. The Batpod made several appearances throughout the movies, including the time Batman used it to escape his Tumbler while taking on Joker. It was also later used in an unsuccessful attempt to save Rachel Dawes and in Batman’s hunt for Harvey Dent. In the third movie of the trilogy, Batman and Selina Kyle both used the Batpod in their battles with Bane.

Built on a custom-made chassis, the Batpod features 31-inch Hoosier racing tires and is powered by a Honda 750 engine. Fiberglass panels finished in metallic grey paint cover the bike’s engine and handlebars, while a pair of cannon barrels made of plastic, resin and fiberglass are secured at the front of the vehicle. Since the Batpod was well used during production of the movies, it does show wear and tear on its body and has some light corrosion on the chassis. It will also come with a metal support stand for display purposes.

It’s worth noting that the Batpod is being sold in non-functional “rolling only” condition. It doesn’t have any fluids, and the battery, fuel tank and throttle controls have all been removed. So there’s a bit of work to be done if you want to take it out for a ride.
